Ribbon Cutting

It's Official! The Ribbon Has Been Cut!

On June 7, 2017, we celebrated our transition from “Dade Moeller” to “NV5” at a ribbon cutting ceremony held in conjunction with the Tri-Cities Regional Chamber of Commerce.

The ceremony started at 3:30 p.m. with Dave McCormack, NV5 Chief Operating Officer, Environmental Services, welcoming the approximately 100 guests and staff to the event and unveiling the office’s new “NV5” external sign.

Remarks by Rob Costello, NV5 President of the Buildings, Energy, and Sciences (BES) Division, followed, with a focus on NV5 services that can be beneficial to the local community. For example, as NV5, we have much to contribute to local development, from supporting new construction or renovations of local schools and parks, to repurposing old or underutilized properties, to completely reimagining our urban design and structures.

Cookies bearing the NV5 name and light refreshments catered by Deserts by Kelly were provided during a mix and mingling period. Immediately following the ribbon cutting ceremony, at 4:30 p.m., the Tri-Cities Local Business Association held its regularly scheduled monthly meeting at the NV5 Richland Office’s conference room.

Dade Moeller & Associates, Inc., (“Dade Moeller”) was founded in 1994 as a small business in Richland, Washington, to provide health physics [radiation safety] consulting services to the U.S. Department of Energy and its contractors at the Hanford Site.

Over its 22 years of operations, the company expanded its services beyond radiation safety to include, among others, industrial hygiene, occupational safety, training, environmental services, and environmental laboratory assessment. At its height, Dade Moeller employed 260 people, including more Certified Health Physicists than any other company in the United States, and operated from seven offices and client sites across the country.

Dade Moeller’s notable clients and projects have included Hanford Mission Support Alliance site cleanup and worker radiation safety services, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health radiation dose reconstruction program, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Deepwater Horizon oil spill Natural Resource Damage Assessment, and naturally-occurring radioactive material (NORM) consulting services for oil and gas companies, landfills, and city governments.

In May 2016, NV5 Global, Inc. (NASDAQ: NVEE) acquired Dade Moeller to serve as the platform organization in its Environmental Health and Safety business line.
