Integrated Support Services Division Manager Tracey Shinsato has been elected to the Board of Directors of Goodwill Industries of the Columbia. Her new role will begin at the annual meeting on March 24, 2015. She plans to serve on the strategic planning and personnel committees.

How Loud Can a K-3rd Grade Lunchroom Get? Tony Etherington Volunteered to Find Out.

Every year, the Kiona-Benton schools in Washington State conduct a survey of noise levels at various locations around their facilities. For years, this survey has been conducted by the custodial staff using a phone “app.” This year, a noise level of 89dB (decibels) was determined in the elementary school’s cafeteria.

CFO Glenn Caprio Elected Treasurer of Local United Way

We are happy to announce that our Chief Financial Officer, Glenn S. Caprio, has been elected to a 1-year term as Treasurer of the United Way of Benton and Franklin Counties. Glenn currently is a member of the chapter’s Board of Directors, a position he has held since January 2012. Congratulations to Amanda Gustafson, the recipient of this year's Dade Moeller Scholarship through the Columbia Basin College (CBC) Foundation!

This year's scholarships were awarded on Friday, October 10, at an annual CBC reception at the Red Lion in Pasco, Washington. Dade Moeller has been providing annual scholarships of $1,500 through the CBC Foundation since 2012.

STEMCon 2014

We were delighted to participate once again in STEMCon at Washington State University (WSU) Tri-Cities on Thursday, May 15, 2014. Two of Dade Moeller's certified health physicists, Mark Fishburn and Keith McCartney, volunteered to provide a 2.5-hour long workshop called "Radioactivity is Everywhere!" In attendance were 12 students from Chiawana High School (Pasco) and Delta High School (Richland).

Dade Moeller supports children's literacy

We were happy to be a Table Sponsor this morning at the 4th Annual Read to Lead Breakfast supporting the Children's Reading Foundation of the Mid-Columbia.

Funds were raised to send 12,000 books into the hands of children, and the kids did the heavy lifting by transporting them in red wagons!

What a great way to start the day!
