The Walking Dade

Aug. 22, 2008

On August 22-23, 2008, Dade Moeller & Associates sponsored a team of twelve employees and their families to walk in the annual Portland to Coast Relay, the largest walking relay in the world and a fund-raiser for the American Cancer Society. Calling themselves “The Walking Dade,” the team covered 127 miles, with each walker taking part in two legs of the relay and walking between 3.52 and 7.79 miles per leg. Raising $1,960 for the American Cancer Society, the team wore T-shirts with the names of family, friends, and coworkers who have been personally touched by cancer (survivors and victims). In 2006 and 2007 Dade Moeller & Associates sponsored a team of runners that participated in the relay from Mt. Hood to the Coast, also raising money for the American Cancer Society.  This is the first year Dade Moeller & Associates has had a “walking” team participate in this event.
