Barbara Hamrick Named Secretary-Elect of HPS

Senior professional Barbara L. Hamrick has been named Secretary-Elect of the Health Physics Society, a nonprofit scientific organization whose mission is to promote the practice of radiation safety. Hamrick is a Certified Health Physicist [radiation protection scientist] who has a Doctor of Law degree from Loyola Law School at Los Angeles.

Ali Simpkins Named to Nuclear Engineering Board

The Missouri University of Science and Technology has selected Nuclear Engineer and Senior Health Physicist [radiation protection scientist] Ali A. Simpkins to serve as a member of its Nuclear Engineering Development Board. In this role, Simpkins will provide recommendations and guidance on issues related to the well-being and growth of the University’s nuclear engineering program.

Terry Weaver Races Toward a Cure for Breast Cancer

Five-year Cincinnati Office employee Terry Weaver participated in the Komen Greater Cincinnati Race for the Cure on September 14, 2008, raising $1,130 from friends, family, and fellow Dade Moeller & Associates co-workers. This was Terry’s second year at the event, which raises money to fund education, screening, and treatment programs for the Greater Cincinnati community and supports the national search for a cure. A breast cancer survivor, Terry wholeheartedly supports other Dade Moeller & Associates employees faced with breast cancer, either in their own lives or in the lives of loved ones. “Breast cancer can be beat,” says Terry, “and if I can beat it, others can too. We need to build each other up.”
